Devon RFU AGM 2023 Summary

This year’s Devon RFU Annual General Meeting held at Tiverton RFC on Friday 7th July was well attended by many Clubs together with Members of Devon RFU, unfortunately, Paul Harris, DRFU President was unable to attend so the AGM was presided by the Immediate Past President Ken Jeffery

In his President’s address, presented by Ken Jeffery, Paul Harris said he had visited many Clubs during the past Season and thanked them for their hospitality and praised Clubs in Devon for all the hard work everyone does. Paul gave a summary of the various Devon Cup Competitions and congratulated Dartmouth RFC in winning their Papa Johns Trophy Final played at the StoneX Stadium, home of Saracens, he also mentioned the Representative Teams who took part in County Championship Matches. He paid tribute to Mark Goodman who has retired as the Hon Treasurer of Devon RFU and said his successor Simon Farmer is a very qualified replacement

The various reports presented by sections of Devon RFU demonstrated the vast amount of work carried out by the CB and its volunteers during the year

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the following League Winners Shields: Counties 1 Tribute Western West – Topsham RFC;

Counties 2 Tribute Devon -Tavistock RFC;

Counties 3 Tribute Devon West -Plymouth Argaum RFC;

Counties 3 Tribute Devon East – OPM RFC
