DEVON’S representatives in the national cup competitions now know who they will face in their opening games.

Kingsbridge will be Devon’s representatives in the RFU Intermediate Cup after finishing fourth in Western Counties West last season. They have been handed a home tie against their league rivals Wadebridge Camels in the South West Counties semi-final on February 2.

Honiton, having finished as the top Devon team in Cornwall/Devon League last season, will represent the county in the RFU Senior Vase. They will travel to fellow Cornwall/Devon League high-flyers Penryn in the opening regional stage of the competition on February 2.

Dartmouth will compete in the RFU Junior Vase after finishing third in Devon One last season behind South Molton and Topsham, who were both promoted to the higher level. Dartmouth have been handed an home tie against Newquay Hornets on February 2.

Any Devon team that wins their first round games will compete in South West Counties’ finals on February 23, with the South West Divisional finals pencilled in for March 16.

Clubs have the chance to reach Twickenham in the cup competitions, just like South Molton (pictured top) did last season in the RFU Junior Vase.
