EIGHT Devon players have been invited to attend the final South West assessment day in January.

South West selectors have asked 40 players from seven different counties to attend a session at Hartpury College on January 27 after watching all the counties’ matches this month.

A final squad will be named following January’s session to represent the South West at England Counties’ trials.

The eight Devon players invited to Hartpury are Topsham’s Jed Reid and Cameron Duncan, Brixham’s Sam White, Kingsbridge’s Seb Tooke, Exeter Saracens’ Freddie Herring, Ivybridge’s Matt Burns, Tavistock’s Tom Pearson and Plymstock Albion Oaks’ Pete Keanie.
